This data only applies to new medical centres in the first 2-3 months. After this initial period the practices discovered more specifically what works for their region, demographic and target markets, with word of mouth a very big factor.

Let's start at the begining
Several of the medical centres we have helped, brought us in when the builder had aready started the 2nd fix, and this is typical in many signage installations we do ... and then asked us what signage they needed ...

the signage was an after thought.

This meant that some types of signage such as illuminated signs, back lit letters and LED displays, ended up costing far more than necessary.

External and interior signage needs to be included and designed into the build from the start.

Signage must be a forethought!

Signage decisions are best done with the owner, architect, builder, medical interior designer, and signwriter working together from the beginning. This applies to both brand new builds, and conversions of existing premises.

Why us?

We have a 21 point system that we work through with the client. This covers signage, web, social media, and marketing.

We ensure consistency of colour, style, and branding is followed across the various media. Branding is inclusive of vision, mission, goals and values; and everthing needs to reflect and promote these.

Below are the first two points in our system.

Logo

  • Is there a logo?
  • Are the colours appropriate for the clinic and it's vision, mission, goals and values?
  • Is the logo in transportable format so it can be used at any size.
  • Are the logo colours transportable so they work in any format, and are they available in Pantone, CMYK, RGB, and Web Hex formats, and give consistency across all 4 colour spaces?
  • Will the logo work in signage, web, social media, stationery, uniforms, and promotional materials?

Style Guide

  • Is there a style guide?
  • Does it set out how the logo can be used in both portrait and landscape versions?
  • Does it show the minimum space requirements?
  • Are the logo colours defined for Pantone, CMYK, RGB, and Web Hex formats, and give consistency across all 4 colour spaces?
  • Does it define the text fonts for web use, signage, brochures, appointment cards, letterheads, social media etc.?
This is just the start of the process. There are other factors that need to be addressed such as compliance signage, emergency evacuation signage and procedures, etc.
